Is that enough room for a yellow tang? Are you going to move him to a bigger tank in the future?

Just in the juvenille stage. As soon as he outgrows the tank ill give him to one of the members of my local reef club with enormous setups to live out the rest of his days.(Ive done it a few times in the past)

Awesome tank! What happen to the 39G cad sig? If you ever get bored with this setup let me know. I'm always in the market for a small shallow cube. Is the yellow tang still in there?

Thanks man. Oh I broke it down a while back. I setup an ADA for a while and then moved on to this one. When I break it down I'll definitely let you know. Yep the yellow tang is still in there although its just about time to transfer him.

Wow i remember that sig was my inspiration! Although i've gotten rid of mine too... Go figure. Anyways awesome looking tank. Good luck with all the fish. I only gonna keep 4 in 45 tech tank.... for now!

VERY VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE! How do you keep that sand SOOOO white??? :)

Thank you Tim. I don't do much really...my snails do a really great job at keeping the sand bed stirred and my vortechs do a great job of making sure detritus doesn't get a chance to settle.

I love your tank, so astoundingly beautiful! I have a couple questions: What kind of media is in the two reaction containers in the sump? I see that you have a y shaped fitting on the output of the pump to the larger reaction chamber, where is the flow leaving the container? You have a silencer on the bubble magus skimmer, did you make that yourself? If so, I also have a bubble magus skimmer and would like to make it quieter. Is that some sort of pad beneath the chaeto? Sorry for all the questions but I want to learn some of your secrets becuase your producing phenomenal results!

Thanks so much. The smaller reactor in the front was running carbon and the larger reactor was running filled with zeolites. The flow from that reactor flows back into the same chamber of the sump. This pick was taken a while ago and i have since removed the larger reactor entirely and use the smaller reactor as a phosphate reactor.
The silencer on the skimmer was from a previous skimmer i had in storage. It does make a world of a difference since the skimmer is pretty noisy without it.
I did have a pad under the cheato to catch detritus but i have since removed it and just siphon the chamber out periodically to remove excess detritus.
Thanks again.Any other questions feel free to ask

OH MY, your snails have to be really hardworking then! what sort of snails do you keep may I ask? :) lol. and again to stress on, an absolutely beautiful tank. Subscribed!

Sigh, makes me want to start a shallow reef tank. Bravo, bravo :)

They are fighting conch snails as well as some ceriths. They do an amazing job of keeping the sand stirred. Thanks so much for the complement.
