Hypnotic Cloves - White spots... sick?

I have some hypnotic cloves that have grown healthily in the last couple of months, going from 3 polyps to roughly 15. They have some white spots or splotches on the frilly part of their tentacles though, and sometimes when this gets bad they tend to close up a bit. Has anyone ever seen this or do you know what it is? Is it flow or lighting, or some kind of parasite?

I can get a better picture but here's what I have so far... you can see one of the white areas on the clove second from the left, and it's a bit closed up.

They could be brooding. I don't know about this particular coral but my blue sansibia polyps do this about once a month. I can't really tell from the picture, does it look like they are holding little white balls? If so they will release them and the ones that settle will grow new corals. Here's my blue polyps,

That could be it... but I'm not convinced. They aren't really holding white balls, but instead the tips of some of the nematocysts (or whatever) are affected.

I still feel like they look a little sick or unhealthy somehow. Thanks for the thoughts though- I hope you're right!
