i have a 3" bluejaw trigger in a 29g hypo QT tank. before i went hypo, my bluejaw was a very aggressive eater. it would eat just about anytime i fed it and it ate a lot. now it is eating about half as much when it does eat... sometimes just looking at the food fall infront of his face.

it was in the tank for about 2 weeks in 1.020. the last two days at ~1.009
i dropped the salinity over the course of 3 days.

i have 2 ~1" green chromis in there too.

i feed NLS pellets, flakes, and mysis shrimp. I know feeding 1x a day is fine, but i like to feed 3x a day.

My tank is in Hypo now for the last two weeks. Out of the seven fish, three of them lost their appetite and then passed but I don't feel it was the Hypo that caused it. They had only stopped eating for two days then showed signs of some kind of parasite or fungus and then died. I feel just the change could cause them to change their habits a bit but the hypo shouldn't cause any stress to where they stop eating. It's suppose to be less stressful.

Yes, IME, hypo can cause some fish to go off their feed. We have actually had to entice our P. volitans and one of our Rhinos with live feeder guppies and crayfish during hypo to keep their weight up.
