I am going to buy a mate for my tomato any tips

I have a 2 inch tomato and and going to buy a 1 inch juvenil for a mate. Any reasons not to go for this fish.
Need a quick reply as I am going to the lfs in a couple of hrs

Sounds good, smaller is always best.

Ditto that advice. Make sure the fins are healthy looking and QT the new addiiton for 30 days. I would also try to get a tank raised clown if possible.
