Well I have updated my nano blog.

Check it out and let me know what you guys/gals think.

Things to come in the next week:

Live stock
Water change
And maybe one more thing not sure yet.

And come on guys/gals where is the competition? I was under the impression that we are competing for prizes. Also I am going to win, at least under the 200 category. :D

Looks good- Time to get some live stock in it. I dont think you can win on lights alone :)

Off Topic- doesnt seem like many are still interested in this contest, how was the feeling at the meeting?

Thanks.

Im not trying to say I will win because of my lighting, but due to default since no one else is really participating.

At the meeting some people were talking about updating their page but nothing official. I guess the contest was a little more work than first anticipated.

From the wife here....
correct me if i am wrong but your tank design looks a lot like my tank ??? Maybe you did not see our posts?? Niki and Joey???? we have posted a lot??Well good luck since your gonna win???:eek1:

Hey guys,
We are working on ours, just VERY slowly. We need to update the page (Herlyn's nano). Looking at your tanks, we are a bit behind. We do have water and lights though. Expect some competition! :D

I did not mean to offend you in any way, but our tanks are very different construction techniques. IE yours is 4 separate sides and a bottom with a false panel if I am not mistaken. Where as mine is 1 long front and side piece bent, with a back and false panel.

Also I did say that I am running in the $200 or less category. When I spoke with Joey a few weeks or so ago, he did say that your tank is way over the $200 limit. Meaning that you are not even in the same running as me anymore. :)

Thank you...at least the $200 category ;)

BTW I was trying to drum up a renewed interest in the contest, not start a war of words within the club members.

Personally I do not care, my wife and some others on the other hand were offended. We'll let them chime in if they want to.

I am way over the 200.00 limit as I find many will/are going to be also. I think once you count livestock, lr, lights, cost of materials, pumps, etc most will be over the limit. But that is a different story.

I'll add that, with the possible exception of Steve's curved tank, everyone in the contest is using essentially slight variations on designs that are pretty well established in the nano world. And there is nothing wrong with that at all...

I thought it was quite obvious that Israel was being facetious. It was immediately apparent that he was trying to get a 'rise' out of you all. Give him a break! Don't immediately get defensive when a competitor talks a little bit of smack. This competition, like any competition, is supposed to be fun. Fun - Wiki

Our NMOK discussion board has been dry and vacant lately, and the nano blogs have been, for the most part, stagnant. Even at the recent NMOK meeting there wasn't much nano-talk. It seemed that the nano-contest had fallen off the radar for everyone.

Israel, thank you for taking the initiative and trying to renew interest and participation in this contest. I applaud your efforts!
