I'd recommend Scott Michael's "Marine Fishes: 500+ Essential-To-Know Aquarium Species", and also Dr. Shimek's "Marine Invertebrates: 500+ Essential-to-Know Aquarium Species". Also, Eric Borneman's "Aquarium Corals : Selection, Husbandry, and Natural History" is a good one, and also Bob Fenner's "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist".

I second Scott Michaels "Marine Fishes". I have had this book for years and always refer to it before and after I purchase fish. So far it's been extremely accurate at it's descriptions of the various fish I have kept. I also like "Natural Reef Aquariums" by Tullock. It's a little dated but still a good read. And finally "The Marine Aquarium Handbook" by Moe. It's definitely dated but full of good, timeless experience by a guy that's been raising and breeding SW fish since the 60's.
