I am looking to buy a controller and I hear so much about the ProfiLux â€"œ BUT!?

Well I thought I would spend some time and answer the “But” questions and also show the people looking for a controller right now the huge advantages of buying ProfiLux

The first thing I see scanning the boards is this “I would love a Profilux but it’s so expensive”

Well here is a wake up call, the ProfiLux beginner pack that provides more than any other basic controller pack on the market today can be purchased for less than $500USD, that’s at least $100 cheaper than controllers with at present less functionality. So not expensive anymore is it

“ProfiLux has been around for a long time now it must have less to offer than newer controllers”

Not so, GHL ProfiLux is at the fighting edge of controller technology, in many cases leading the way in new and innovative concepts and controlling functionalities, for example GHL answered the call about 2 years before any other controller manufacturer and brought out Dali ballast control; these are the ballasts that will revolutionise your tank in the coming years. GHL ProfiLux continues at a rapid pace to expand its functions often beyond anything else available today and for that matter in the near future.

“But can it be infinitely expanded; the buzz word seems to be bus these days”

In one part GHL leads the way in new innovative concepts but if they feel the technology is too new to provide a fail safe and reliable operation GHL will hold back, wait for the technology to settle and then bring in a system that is above all others that went before. And this is exactly what is happening now with the launch of the ProfiLux III this summer/ early autumn. The new GHL ProfiLux PIII will address the expansion issues and provide way more than has ever been brought to the industry before.

“So I might as well wait and buy a PIII.”

Well you can but then there is this little Cherry â€"œ GHL ProfiLux believes in supporting its existing clients as well as its future ones, and as such the ProfiLux has always been and always will be future proof, in other words if you buy a controller now, you will not be left out in the cold in 6 months time when the PIII launches. Furthermore ALL existing clients will get a substantial discount purchasing the PIII upgrade kit. So if you like saving even more money now is the time to buy a Profilux.

OK so what can the PII do? Here is a small (ok rather large) list

pH control
Temperature control
Fully programmable from the comfort of your PC with the free for life intuitive software
Redox
Salinity
Conductivity
Humidity
Air temperature
Oxygen
industry leading level control
Tunze pump control (up to 8 pumps)
Dali ballast control and interface
Full lunar modelling with Dimmable lighting more advanced than any other controller
Aquarium illuminations LED interface
Weather pattern modelling, including tropical storm modelling
AC voltage dimming
Hydor pump control (coming soon)
Full control of the controller over the internet
Email alerts
Text messaging with full interactive alerts
Webserver (coming soon)
Graphing (soon to be expanded immensely with the PIII)
WLAN connection from PC to controller

Have I missed anything?

So you see the ProfiLux is actually the cheapest controller on the market, probably one of the most reliable if not THE most reliable (and that’s what counts isn’t it a controller you can rely on) and offers way more spec than higher priced controllers.

OH and I almost forgot the global product support network.

Still not sure? Give us a call
