I am mad at my fish

FWIW - the clown is in the same family as the damsels and will likely be just as territirial.

You can try to completely rearrange the rockwork but that is a royal PIA, especially if you like it the way it is now. Another trick I have used is to feed the heck out of the tank then turn off the lights bofore you add the newbie, but as mentioned several times above, Damsels will be Damsels, and are very god at what they do.

Don't flush them. Try to duplicate nature and let a lionfish, or other large predator, eat them.

I tried this once to get them out of a large tank. I was angry with the terrors cause I couldn't catch them after hours and hours. Lionfish couldn't catch them, even after many days ( Volitan Lionfish ) and the whole thing backfired on me when the Lion went blind under LEDs. Nature is cruel :hmm4:

EDIT: Plus, OP has some small slower fish the Lionfish ( or other predator ) would eat.

A happy reefer!

I bought a firefish (goby) he was a cute little fish. I have 2 damsels, 1 lawnmower blemmy, and 1 clown and 1 strawberry chromis. Those damsles and the chromis would not leave the little firefish alone. I thought I had the problem solved when I put a mirrow on the outside of the tank. Things seemed to calm down. I took the mirrow out in about 3 days. Not good the devils started all over again! My little firefish jumped throught the plastic grade on top of my tank. I have a stinking feeling I will not be able to buy anymore fish until I get rid of the damsels. I am also worried about the chromis. What do you guys think? 55 gal. tank. Thank you in advance for your help. Jeanie:sad1:

I hate my fish!!!

I like my damsels. They are in a damsel-only 20 gallon long and once they figured out their pecking order, everything has turned out well.
