The glass brace on top of my tank cracked when i banged a rock against it on accident. What do i do?!?!
I'm going to use duck tape right now for support, but how can this be repaired?! It seems like such a difficult thing to fix.

Dims are: 48"x15"x24" It's a 75g.
Glass is roughly 3/8" thick.

Can i do without the brace? Should i try and repair it?

id get a bar clamp and clamp the top to bring the crack back togather. then get a piece of glass and silicone it to the top of the old brace with alot of silicone.

Is it flat, looks curved in the pic? If it is flat, get a clamp and pull it together snugly and using slicone lay another piece of glass on top of it, using the silicone to cement the 2 pieces together like a splint, clamp the glass together, 24hrs later remove the clamps. Good to go!!!!!!!!!

Do what this guy said. Leave the clamp there for maybe a week or something? There's not a whole lot of sense in siliconing a new center brace in there if you don't ensure that it's alligned properly.

The duct tape you have on there is doing ZERO to help hold the tank together, no matter how much you have on there it won't hold tension without stretching, like glass does.
