where do you think the clowns came from??? there are some options that i can think of, im just playing devils advocate because i dont see what your getting at.

A. he bought picasso's from saltwaterfish.com and is now pretending he bred them.. ( no Way)

B. He Bred different Clowns than he showed pics of, but still created some awesome looking fish.... (i dont think its true but i would not care at all if it was.)

C. He isn't Lying at all because it would make no sense,,,, He bred the fish, had success and your jealous.

My female is about 2 1/2 inches, and my male is around 2". I have some others that are about 2" as well, and the rest are smaller.

I would agree with jovreefer- Papua New Guinea Percs that tend to be almost identical to what people would identify as "true" onyx. I try not to get caught up in the semantics because I just want nice healthy clowns.. You have beautiful Percs.

The reason I asked about the size is because at your clowns' age there is a slight chance the black may still connect between the second and third bars- this is often what people consider the telltale sign of onxydom.

I would say SI percs. The PNG percs I had years ago looked very different from those. To be sure, check your source as to where they got them from.

Onyx Refers to black between the stripes all of them... and IMO a black dorsal fin. i wouldn't worry about what is onyx and just enjoy the clowns and anemones in that cool tank.

Thanks, yep not to concerned. But i wondered because she has that solid black coloring and none of my others have even close to that. I'll just have to see if they mature and color even more.
