I can't get enough flow. PLEASE HELP

I have a ******* 500 gallon display with two overflows. Each overflow has 2 1" drain tubes that go to the sump about 10 ft away. I have a 55 gallon sump connected with two 1" bulkheads to a 75 gallon sump. My return pump is a PanWorld 1750gph.

If I turn my pump on all the way the stand pipe become overwhelmed and the tank overflows.

If I turn the pump on 3/4 the way the stand pipes can withstand it but the first sump overflows.

How can I increase the amount of flow?

thanks

Your bulkheads are too small for the water you are trying to move, either increase the bulkhead size (2" should work fine for the sumps, 1.5" for the overflows, 2" is better) or get a smaller pump.

First off, all of the plumbing for a tank that size should be at least 1.5". What size are the bulkheads in the tank? Since you're running the sump kind of far away, I woud do dual 2" pipes to the sump. To fix the first sump problem, you need to either put bigger bulkheads or more bulkheads in it to allow greater flow through it.

A tank this size should come with more and bigger bulkheads than that. I hope this helps.
