I.D please? Is it dangerous?

Hey I have this growing on my clove polyps, it looks exactly likt the picture except its pinkish and its leaching around one of the clove polyps.

What do i do with it?

Looks like some kind of sponge.

It is a sponge. My clove polyps have the same thing. They seem to be growing all over the sponge and the sponge isn't affected by it and the sponge doesn't harm the polyps either.

I head this sponge will suck up alot of the calcium in the water can someone confirm that there isnt much i can find on this thing
