I don't know if there is a fancy name for these or not. I got them at a local reef store that has just about everything you could want, but it's all way over priced... I paid $65 for these, tell me how much you would pay for them, along with what you think they are.

well it looks like there's quiet amount of polyps on'em so I guess you didn't completely overpay. I don't like the color morphs so I wouldn't personally buy them, but if I were to buy a zoa rock that size and color, I guess $35 ~ $45 LFS price? Few of those polyps have come on as hitchhikers with few other zoas I've been purchasing lately though.

$65 isn't bad... Well, depending upon where in IL you are... You people on the coast have to remember that things aren't as cheap when you're landlocked... Remember that shipping is built into our prices... The further you are from a major city (international airport) the more difficult it is to receive corals, and the prices reflect it... I hate the prices here in East TN... But often I can't get my orders up enough to make the shipping worth while...

Make a drive down to Missouri sometime. We've got much nice colonies for that price here in town. If you're near Chi town, I can understand brown zoanthids going for that price. I've made a tour of all pet stores in the area a few times and always came home empty handed.

Thanks, they looked a lot nicer in the store when the light is almost completely blue. Even as they are now, I still like them since orange is my favorite color. Also this was the first coral i bought for my new tank, so just incase i lost it I didn't want to spend too much.
