I detest politics...

Darn those private uneducated types!! Actually, in my experience us educated types who get in over our heads make the biggest bang for the buck. The uneducated folks have the common sense to keep their heads down...

has anyone herd of the thing that was hit on rt.4 yes thats right a thing knowone knows what it is and the state warden service says they dont have the time to bother with it it is some kind of mix dog/sloth/human thing(I think it is a baby bigfoot ) but if they say they dont have time to identify a new thing out there that was just discovered does anyone think they have the time to deal with anything fish related FYI I was told that the only way anyone would get in trouble for an illegal fish is if there is a complaint ( or if a warden see's jack's in your house bin there )

That creature was strange looking for sure. I read someone did a DNA test and it was a wolf/dog hybred. Like a wolf chow mix.

Hard to believe that the state wasn't interested in identifing it, they let the birds pick it clean...

Did you see a photo of the critter? I only heard a few statements about it.... then it disappeared from the news.....YUP, times must be tuff for the state, that they cannot identify an alien creature that has infiltrated our state... sorry I could not resist....;)

I am looking for info... anyone hear of a guy named Bob Talbert or something, had a bait shop where he raised fish in GA and brought them up here.. state came to visit him and told him it was illegal, found it was not really on the books as illegal and had the laws changed and then proceded to prosecute him ... sounds kinda odd to me but hey....anyone else hear of this?

Also anyone know how to get a fish a scientific name? seems as though there is a fish that someone presented tot he state but because it did not have a scientific name, they would not consider it..... I am talking the asian parrot fish, a man-made hybrid of the red devil and severum and who knows what else...

I was told no, because it is not on the list, has not be approved by the state..... one would think that it would be a simple process in this case.....

I finally found the artilce in the paper bout the critter in Turner, strange looking beast..

Hahaha, read that as 'the guys who are charged with cleaning up the roadkill' instead of 'the state', and you are right on the money for why it never got passed up the chain...

I bet it went something like this: "Hey Ed, look at this crazy thing!" "Yup, weird looking all right. Belongs up at UMO. Want ta go for a beer?"
