I did the mesh mod last night on my skimmer

All i can say is that i love it . I should have did it sooner. Simple mod takes 10min and will rock out your skimmer.. I used the PF4 flat back.. you can lay them closer to each other with the flat back making a tighter mesh. here a pic or my impeller...I still have enuff to make about 4 or so mods. If any one wants some let me know

can you do this to a asm skimmer it is a needle wheel skimmer with two 1200 gph pumps

i think you can do it on most.. i would ask in the fliter/light fourm to be sure

Do you have any left? I would be interested in some. I have the old type and was wondering if the flat did a better job. Did you heat and press the layers together before the zip ties?

yes i still have some...no heat just zip ties.. the flat back lays tighter to the next one.. i use 3 layers
