Slave to the reef!
I caught out my 2 bastard fish, the yellow tang and hawkfish now get to live in the refugium until i find a new home for them. Jason made up some DIY rock and i put a bunch of it in my tank and "planted" ALOT of frags. No more frag swing for me!!!

I took a drill to the rock and drilled a bnch of holes in for the plugs, now i can re aqua scape really easily.

Ill get some pics tomorrow when the tank clears up and the lights arte all on.

THANKS MR GLASPIE!!! YOU ROCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Better?

Heres a shot of half my tank, to be honest im not really diggin' the "piled up" look but it works. This was with the flash but atleast you can see some stuff .

Very nice. I started drilling holes in my rock to make frag placement easier.

Have you thought about making some pillars?

Nice MJ Mod, is that the kit you can buy online?
Here's the one I did myself for my tank:

Are you pretty happy with the flow? Have you played around with the direction/ angle of placement much? Mine just mostly pushes from top right corner all the way across my 55Gl Tall and the counterflow is amazing, reaching about halfway back on the bottom side of my tank. I modded a MJ900, but used a .75" prop so I had to get creative with my shroud.

Nice frag placement!

I cant find the thread..but there is a thread out there called Show me your pillars! Basically the idea is you drill holes through your live rock and stick some sort of support (acrylic rods or PVC) in the middle of the rock so you can stack them in columns or pillars.

It looks really cool IMO

ahhh thats what i thought you meant but wasnt sure. You can do some awesome cliffs and stuff like that but i guess at this point im more concerned with coral growth and health than what my rocks looks like. Plus im tired of screwin' with it.

montipora?? i didn't give you any of that did i? I did give you some hydnopora. The green stuff?
