I bought a tank for my son for xmas and decided to make it saltwater now. Got a few weeks before it's ready to add rock since I'm still working on my sump and a few other things.

Is anyone parting out any tanks or is looking to get rid of rock.

I'm looking for about 40-50 lbs. of live rock and can't afford the LFS prices especially after taking everyones advise on not skimping on the skimmer, RO, lights, etc... Anything online cost a fortune to if you want to have it overnighted or even 2 day( would prefer not to do)

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks,
Justin

I got 50 to 60 lbs for 3 a lb can bring it up to st.louis on the 11th of this month if your interested

thats a good deal, $2 a lb is fair for rock and you wont see it much cheaper all to often

I suggest you jump on it justin

I'm not to good with names of liverock but 20 to 25 lbs is the branch looking stuff and the rest is regular looks like rocks with small bumps all over it I think tonga and fiji but not for sure

Sorry for so many questions, but I'm new to this. I just want to make sure I take my time and do it right.

The pics you sent, is that all of it? I'm just not all that familar with the sizing/weight, etc...

sorry

there's 9 pieces in there weighing between 4 and 10 lbs most people say you need a lb for every gallon at least that's what I've heard

I am so sorry to say this but I can't do the rock. Trust me, I need this rock and this is a great price and the rock looks great. However, my RO unit won't be here nearly in time to have the tanks up and running, etc... and since I'm new to this, I really want to make sure I take my time and do it right. Sorry again and I really appreciate your time and help!
