this is potential trouble for the coral. If the elegance starts to show distress you should take action ASAP.

agreed. one of my tomato clowns was liking the elegance a little too much...i moved it away from the nem to a less desirable clownfish location in the tank...now the fish sits in the sand where the elegance used to be....poor guy....happier coral.

Maybe a little hijack here. Do any LPS handle clown behavior (torch, duncans, frogspawn)?

Hmm don't know..I don't really have a option at this point,these clowns are to wise to catch,they know all my tricks lol..

had these clowns for a wile,They were my first fish,they never wanted to host anything till now..In the last couple weeks,they hosted my sand bed,my power head,my large Alveopora colony,my large trumpet colony,a lobo brain and now the elegance..The other corals were not so happy with the clowns..The elegance shows no sign of stress and pretty much just ignores them..
