I don't think I have enough Flow

asonitez

Floodicus Maximus Flooris
125 gallon full blown reef

Return is a Mag 18 with a Y at the top into 2 Locline returns on each side.
Inside the tank I have 4 Hydor Koralia K3's 1050 GPH Pumps

Reef is a Full Blown SPS reef with lots of Frags at the moment.
Fish pop is low

4 Blue Devils
1 Lime Wrasse
1 Bangaii cardinal
2 Maroon clowns
1 Yellow Tang

I have a second tank that I am setting up

56 Gallon Marineland Cube without any over flow. How much Flow do I need for this tank to also be SPS?

Well with just the korilla's you have a 35x's turn over. If you include the mag 18 with no head lose you would have 50x's. I think that mag 18 is 1800 gph? Most people don't include the return pump in the turnover for some reason. I don't see why not. Your close but could use a little more. I think bare bones turn over is like 40x's. Btw with that y fitting you add more head lose along with any elbows. Plus the higher you go up from your pump the more flow you lose. I would also consider getting another pump for your return. I had a pump go out ( when I was only running one return pump) and it sucked cause I had to scramble to get a new one. I paid more then I wanted to but had no choice. This way if you have one pump running one return and one on another there is less to worry about. Not to mention you will have more flow.

maybe i can replace 2 K3's in the main tank and put in 2 bigger PH's and use the 2 K3's in the 56 Gallon. what you folks think?
