Hey everyone. Thanks for taking a look at my post. I started my tank this past April...My issue is that I am losing for fish for what appears to be no specific reason. It is 75g tank with a sump/fuge system. My corals are looking amazing and I couldn't be happier. My parameters are as follows:

Nitrates - 0-5ppm
Nitrites - 0ppm
PH 8.2-8.3
Ammonia 0ppm
Salinity 1.024

I currently perform about 10% water changes a week 6-8g, this is based on the displacement of water due to the 90lbs of LR.

When I first started adding fish about a month into my cycle I lost some and assumed it was too early to add fish. I let my parameters stabilize and over the past 2.5 months I have added in this order 2 oscellaris clowns, purple firefish, exquisite wrasse, yellow tang and flame angel, carribean blue tang, yellow watchman goby. Everything was going great for the past month. Then last Tuesday I find the yellow tang and flame angel dead. Wednesday morning the clowns and Wednesday night the blue tang. Everything was fine I noticed the spikes in testing as expected. All other fish had been doing well. Then Saturday I lose my exquisite wrasse... Loved that fish :fish1:

I had tried a variety of tricks to see if I had a predator in my tank, tried the stocking trick with shrimp in it, tried testing at different periods of the day, rearranged aqua scape looking for something. I am lost at what could have taken my fish. I dose my tank twice a week with Fuel and coral food. I feed my tank every three days or so a blend of shrimp and missus with a touch of Zoe.

So currently I have a beautiful coral tank and 2 fish. The purple firefish and the watchman goby, he is paired with his shrimp friend which is pretty cool.

No I do not have a quarantine tank, I use a drip acclamation process over a 1.5 hour period of time. What do I do? Where did I go wrong? Just tested levels and they are perfect, I want to add some fish but also feel like I am killing everything.

Would appreciate any and all advise. Thanks!

Was there any odd behavior you noticed before the fish died. Maybe some aggression, any cleaners, painting around the tank, circulation/flow problems.

FWIW if the fish were online purchase the 1.5 acclimation was not helpful.

Hour and a half is still too long but for all to die that close in order doesn't make sense.

Those two tangs shouldn't be in that tank. It's too small. If you don't QT it's tough to tell what the problem might be.

Do you have any air freshener sprays near your tank? Are you using RODI water that is 0 TDS? You are also adding fish a tad too fast. I have an 80G that I started in November and have two clowns (added in December), Starry Blenny (added in Februrary) and 2 PJ Cardinals (added in July). I'll start QTing again in a month and will add my next two fish in November time frame.

Id slow down a bit, submit a stocking list in the sticky in the forum above.

Yes. I agree I totally need to slow down. The goby and firefish seem to be doing well, so I will not add anything from at least another month. At that point I would probably add 2 clowns. I appreciate the advise everyone. Thanks. Any other thoughts and comments feel free to add.

I expect your problem is lack of a QT. Quite likely you introduced a disease, such as Amylyoodinium.
