My lfs was selling theirs from their display tank and it was the perfect size partner for my Interrupta:

I haven't had a pair of Interrupta since my pair from RCT so I'm pretty stoked. Anyway, I'm going to keep it in the acclimation box for a good week. Hopefully they'll like each other!

Me too. I'm a bit nervous as mine has been a bachelor in my tank for a long time and is the boss of my tank.

There's a lfs here called the SpS Store and they had her in their main 500 gallon display.

How much if you don't mind me asking. You can pm me the response. I'm interested in getting one at some point.

Ah you got it from Aaron? Get one of his clarions tooooooooo

Yes! Great guy and awesome store. His treatment, quarantine, and systems are impeccable!

That is a nice pair
How bug is your old one?

Thanks. I would guesstimate 2.5-3"

$2k. That seems to be the going rate when you can find one available.

beautiful fish, how did they get it out of the 500g? simple fish trap?

Yes, that's exactly what I used. My trusty fish trap. I have a good technique in trapping fish. Most angelfish, tangs and wrasses are no match for me!

I see your new interrupta has lots of blue on its face
Do you know the spot it was collected in Japan

Yeah I noticed that too. I don't know where it was collected but I'm assuming Japan. I think it came in the last shipment from Japan.

Well I got a little impatient today and decided to let my new Interrupta out 3 days ahead of schedule. I mean my existing Interrupta wasn't showing any signs of aggression to the new one in it's acclimation box. It seemed like it was ignoring it.

It wasn't a good idea. Right when I let the new one out, mine starting to chase it around my tank fervently. I was extremely worried because I had no idea to how to catch either one. Well luckily, mine laid off the new one for a bit and the new one rested near a corner. I was able to scoop it up quickly with a net and now it's back in it's acclimation box. It was breathing very heavily as with my existing Interrupta too but they've both calmed down. My existing Interrupta is now standing guard around the acclimation box.

PLAN B: I'm gonna catch my existing Interrupta with my fish trap tomorrow. Then I'm going to put it in my refugium for a good 2-3 weeks to let the new Interrupta establish itself in my tank. In that time, the existing Interrupta should un-establish itself too and forget about it's dominance in the tank. I've done this process a couple of times with domineering fairy wrasses and it's worked in the past. So hopefully it'll work this time around too.

Wish me luck guys!

I was afraid of that...though a bit relieved that my 1st one is not in my dt yet...I will be sure to add both to the dt at the same time...good luck and please keep us updated...

Yeah, I heard you bought Tactics Interrupta. I just bought his Earlie pair. The good news is that my Fairy wrasses didn't act aggressively towards the Earlie pair when I put them in the DT.

Gl w your Interrupta too.

Yeah, cool thing about tactics and mine is that were both caught by the same wonderful man and at the same time and could even be related, they were both under an inch when we got them...what are the chances that both fish would end up in Connecticut and that I would have them both??? crazy...:bounce3::bounce3:

mine is in the fuge under the big tank and Tactics is still in the 250 qt with 2 bandits, tiny regal, and tiny goldflake...luckily, no fighting at all..though the gf and regal like to flare with each other...

will def. add both Interrupta and the others at the same time...
