I got a leak!!

The tank did not leak over night. I'm guessing that its not coming from higher up of the tank but a seam as I originally thought. Figured that all the movement of rock from the tank caused stirring of the sand especially the smaller particle sand which may have cogged the leak. Nonetheless a new tank will be delivered this week. Then and only then can I sleep well at night.

Hey, now to think about my new rockscape!

no leak must drive your nuts?

Well good to see you staying in the hobby
I figured you would of broke down till new office was built
I guess you have the reef bug also

sweet.
Sorry, I have been away or working more weekends now.
I'm in DC this entire weekend.

I would've liked to help.

Let me know if after Monday there is anything needed!

The new tank came in. I bought some horse brackets to support the new tank on the side of the old tank.

Immediately I noticed that 180's have all four holes cut for 1" piping. So I ordered, 4 new bulkheads, also some barb fittings.

Powerheads are removed and soaking in diluted vinegar water.

I had this happen to my tank last Christmas time, everything sat in trash cans & buckets for over a week until I could get a new tank. It was a disaster, my house is 100 years old with the original wood floors. Needless to the GF was not happy. With all the down time + moving all the contents of the tank twice, I lost a lot of everything. I'm glad to see you are on your way back! Good luck

Love it!!! Keep pics coming
Feels like a upgrade right?

I'm actually excited about the new rock scape design and look of the tank.

Thanks, luckily this setup is at my office and all well contained.

Had to start the tank switch emergently Friday as the tank began leaking again.
My dog Fluffy accompanied me and laid down in the waiting room guarding.

Taking out some of the rocks which also housed the fish in the 55 gal brutes, unfortunately the hippo tang did not want to come out of the rock. Also hitchhiking was the Starry Blenny.

The rest of the rocks removed revealed the all fish in the bucket

I reused the stand pipes in the new tank. I just cut them shorter to accommodate the new 24" height.

I prepared and used 150 gals of water (do the math, I needed at least 180 gal) but also an additional 110 to keep the rocks in the buckets while I decide how I'm going to rocks cape.

I love sand on the tank floor. Also Using my tonga rock from my refuge

All the fish are in and appear much less stressed.
