I got a quick photography lesson today

So my wife mocked my pictures I posted yesterday and gave me a quick lesson on shooting in manual mode. I didn't realize you needed to switch the lens from auto focus to manual focus. I still find it difficult to focus with the macro lens, and she is helping me with ISO and other settings. JP

Well, whatever your wife gave you, I want some! ;) These are spectacular! The one with the clowns is just stunning! Manual mode does not 'require' manual focus. Shooting through glass and water can definitely mess with auto focus, so if you have a keen eye, manual is the way to go with aquarium shots... at least for stationary objects.
I shoot more and more in Manual these days. I like to underexpose my shots at least one stop. You can always add light in post processing. But toning down over exposures is near impossible.

Again. Great job! looking forward to more!
