I purchased a Mag 18 from 01rs25 from the used equipment and dry goods section back on the March 7th, pay pal the money to him. He said he shipped it USPS Priority on Tues March 9th. Still haven't seen it yet, I have pm'd and emailed him several times this week. No response at all. This is the first time I purchased anything off RC outside of my local group. This has really got mad!!!

Yes he is right. All you have to do is file the claim and it will reverse the money to you bank account. I did a lot of business on ebay and had this happen to me twice and let me tell you when you file the claim its a giant pain in the a$$ for the seller. he wont see a dime of the money until you let the money go through and even then it will take a week or more after until the money goes back. But act fast you dont want anymore time to go by before file the claim.

I've always heard that paypal has shotty customer service. Fortunately ivenever needed to use it. I feel uncomfortable with them for thesimplefact they refuse to put a contact number on their website. I hope all goes well. If you would rather talk to someone at paypal, google paypal, there's a website called something like paypalsucks.com or around that name, that guy has all their numbers.

Paypal covers ebay differently. You are completely protected through ebay / paypal. When you use paypal on a personal transaction outside of ebay there is little they can do if the funds are not there (which they are usually not)

John is right, it is different with ebay than if you are making a purchase from some one. They will not let me file a claim, I have filed claims on ebay and have gotten my money back.

Best protection would be to get the person's name address and phone number and confirm it before sending funds. Not sure if you can get any of that out of pay pal.

Good news!!! I got a pump today. Still haven't heard from the guy, but at least the product showed up!!!
