For those of you who missed the news last night, ABC Channel 7News will be doing the story on the thief tonight. Its going to be either on the 5 or 6 o'clock news.
Caught wind of this in another post. I can really say I hate shoplifters, and they are all too common. Some even need to steel things like $1.99 plant anchors 
One thing I've found that helps with known regular shoplifters like that is to call the police from a backroom phone and have yourself or an employee be right on top of the shoplifter till the police have had time to arrive and be sitting outside waiting for the shoplifter to leave...remember, till they've left your store they haven't stolen anything yet. Once you know the cops are in position outside the store you can back off the shoplifter and give them the chance to do thier thing. I've never had one dissapoint me yet. They invariably lift and item or several, and as soon as the walk out you call the cops back and they pick the shoplifter up...Redhanded with the stolen merchandise 
In small towns this is very effective, as word gets around that you've bagged and sent up people for shoplifting and the local scum leaves you alone for a few months 
It always pays to do whatever you can to nail the scum, not just scare them off. After all if you can arrange to nail them legally, you suceeded in both nailing them and scaring them off. I've also seen that type of family routine using the kids...even kids in strollers. All to common and makes me sick. I hate thieves. I used to own three cars (now just two). I went away one weekend and came back and the back triangular window glass on my other two cars were broken out and my stereos were stolen. They really ripped the heck out of one of my dash boards getting one of the stereos out. The really sad thing is one of my cars was an older Olds Delta 88 and the rear door doesnt lock. They didnt need to bust the glass and cost me $100.00 for replacement if they tried the doors!!
They broke both glass windows, stole both of my stereos and ripped the heck out of one of my dash boards for what, $30.00 at a pawn shop?????

yeh i feel 4 u shop owners attimes - business p/u and u got kids and customers all over- even w/ thee cams its gotto be hard to staff for those busy periods- also most of the shops i know are dark and seperated by tanks/ walls

I am curious.....
How much have you been able to track the viewing of this tread to determine who might have the greatest 'interest' in what's going on......??
I would imagine that if I were the culprit, then I would be following this thread more closely than anyone else.....( reef central hits )
Also, any thought about watching EBAY for any reef related stuff being sold in the denver area ( like chemicals or pumps, golfclubs, etc... )?
