I hate pe mysis, anyone else?

You guys must have some connoisseur fish! There isn't a fish in my tank that won't eat PE mysis. I feed one cube of it and one of Hikari. They will abandon the Hikari to fight over the PE.

My fish show absolutely no interest in the Hikari brand. IMO/IME PE Mysis is much healthier for your fish. Also, comparing them side by side the Hikari brand seems 'plasticity' and 'fake'.

There's no doubt that it's healthier, but if my fish won't eat it, or won't eat most of them because they are too big or whatever other reason, then it's not better because it's just rotting in the tank and they aren't getting the food. Seems pointless to me and a waste.

Interesting, I use Hikari and all my fish (Coral Beauty, Percula and Chrysus Wrasse) except my Pajama Cardinal love them. Of course the fish with the biggest mouth doesn't, he is such a picky eater. I usually defrost half a cube in tank water and sometimes mix some Reef Roids with it or baby brine shrimp.

For very small size fish under 2" I find brine shrimp works very good. My regal tang was 2.5" when I first got him and he only accept brine shrimp for about 10 days. Once he got used to the environment he started eating everything.

Brine shrimp have almost no nutritional value for saltwater fish unless they are fed immediately after hatching.

I found that the PE mysis in the flat pack is much larger than the ones in the cubes. I feed the PE mysis cube form all the time and never any problems with my fish eating them.
