I have a new (and last fish). I hope to take pictures next week.

It is a Arothron Mappa (Mappa Puffer). :D

He's a cutie. He lives with a Unicorn tang, yellowheaded sleeper goby, flame angel and 2 damsels.

He's only a juvenile (3-4 inches) so the damsels will be OK for the time being..

Cheers,

Keep it's teeth in check, or it'll suffer a painful death in the long run. They need to keep grinding their "beak" down, like rats teeth and such. If they don't, they'll grow to the point of not allowing the animal to eat, and eventually they'll either die from that or from the infection the teeth create when puncturing the other side of the mouth. Just a FYI. If you ever need help, seach out the Puffer Queen on here (Kelly). She has her own forum on MD's site.

I think you need to provide them things with shells to eat, like clams and such. The shells will help file down the teeth.

Thanks for the info.

I read a lot about puffers before I decided on one and that's what a lot of material said.

Hard shelled, like shrimp with shell, clams with shell to help file their teeth. correct?
