I have a pico question

Hello all,
I am planning to buy a 5.5gal pico tank..my question is will a 20watt pc light would be good enough for sps?...I will place it up high...if not how many watts should i have for a 5.5?

Sps in a 5.5 is going to be very difficult. You might be able to keep some montipora under the light you have mentioned. Will you have a sump?

I dont know if i will have a sump yet looking to see if anyone has it or not. thank you for the instant replay. do you think a small bta will be good. If it outgrows I will put it in a 55gallon i am planning to get

A bta might be ok, but anemonies in general need fairly good light.

I would stick to softies, mushrooms, and zoos. Having a small tank is hard to keep the parameters under control, especially if your new.

ive used that very light on a 5.5, and it wast strong enough for corals.

ive also used a coralife 2x18w pc and kept some zoas (red ones never opened), button polips, and xenia. the xenia grew tall and thin so i considered it low light.

above is my 5.5 with 2x18pc. anything more will need better light.
