So I built a DIY filer that consist of a 75 gallon sump, sock filter, DIY protien skimmer and an exturnal Pan World pump that moves 1250GPH. The pump works great, but it is LOUD. This pump has a 1in inlet and outlet. I want to switch to a Sicce 5.0 submersible pump with a 1 inch inlet and a 3/4 outlet. I want to use the existing plumming from my Pan World but it is 1 inch PVC. Will there be a problem if I get an adapter from a 3/4 to a 1 inch PVC? Like will there be air in the pipes or will there be lack of pressure returening the water? OH! My drains are also 1inch. I have 2 of them.
