I might be a bit paranoid, but I don't think a dip is enough. Seems to me that we have a major pest problem in the coral world today, and an actual QT system should be built for corals as well. I know that's not practical for everyone, but it's my .02. I won't put anything in my tank that does not pass three clean dips and show no signs of trouble after two weeks in QT.
Yes, I might be crazy overboard, but it's what I believe in. YMMV of course. I certainly had and have seen many nice tanks that survived with a dip only model. But I've also lost years of work to that method too, so that informs my logic.
Regardless, I'm glad you are doing it again, and doing it "right" - of course it never ends up right. I built my dream tank and still am making mods to this day. Well not today because I'm 1200 miles away from my tank, but you get the point...
