I have AEFW... Now what?

I have read through several threads on how to treat Acros and I'm not completely sure how to approach riding my 200 gallon frag tank of AEFW. I can remove all my colonies so dips are an option. Yesterday I blow water on all my SPS with a power head to try to dislodge some of the AEFW. The only ones I can spot are very small so I'm not sure if that had much of an effect. I'm now thinking that I want to set up a 20 gallon for dips and quarantine but I'm not sure what product to use so that I don't kill the corals.

I recenlty found out I had aefw, what I have done is move everything over to a 20 gallon qt tank(I do a 30% wc 3x a week) and I also dip in revive while basting 1x a week(I have coral rx on the way so we'll see how that works) so far no losses and I have not seen any more bite marks.

I was told revive will not be very good at killing flatworms and you have to use Salifert Flatworm exit....

I had them at one point and put a male and female melanurus wrasse into my 240 and after a few weeks I rarely saw a flatworm.

In a few days the population was nearly wiped out, but it took some time to weed out the "hiding" ones. After a few session of blowing them off with powerheads the wrasses took care of the rest. They are beautiful fish as well.

If you are interested in a non-chemical solution I would highly suggest it.

+1 on wrasses. certain species target flatworms like the melanurus and sixlines. i believe that the ornates will too. just take a turkey baster and blast them off the colony and watch em go to work.

i would rather have a cool looking fish than the PITA of taking everything out and dipping it every week for 3 weeks....alot less stressful on your corals

Any type of wrasse would be a good investment for flatworms.

But for a large amount and eggs, you may be S O L.

A dip and rigorous prying of the eggs off the corals would be best.
