So today while watching craigslist, I came across an add regarding a tank. The add was for a free tank that needed to go due to the tenants moving out and leaving behind a number of things. So anyway, after getting there and finding out that it was much bigger than I figured from the pictures(75 gallons), I proceeded to some how manage to fit it into the back seat of my car. After finishing that undertaking, one of the cleaning crew that was there mentioned that there was something else there. This something else turned out to be a bank package passer.

At this point the pack-rat in me was like "œhey awesome! One of those bank thingies!" I didn't really know why, but I really wanted it, and considering that the price was right I decided to grab it. So instead of only getting a new sump for my 960"¦. Ha yeah not really! I got a pretty cool novelty extra that I didn't think much more about. Until I got home and cleaned the tank and pulled out the box from the trunk. Maybe it was because I had just got done cleaning the tank and had aquariums on the brain, or that the box looked kinda like a tank, but regardless, I very quickly thought it would be cool to turn it into a tank.
So wrapping up! I wanted to through this out there to see if its doable and what everyone's thoughts are on it. I know that it's a "œlittle" over the top, that its heavy as all get out and that drilling it will be a pain; however, its so audaciously"¦..audacious that I think that it will be pretty unique. Its not every day you see a nano with 1.25 inch glass. Its going to be a slight process, because it needs to be sanded down and the various bolts need to be replaced with I'm assuming stainless. But it's a project that I'm really looking forward to! Might even be able to keep a mantis(I heard their punch is equivalent to a 30-06!!:lol
