I highly recommend the Octopus Skimmers. Mainly because A) They're great and B) Sean at Emerald Bay will hook you up and definitely make it worth a trip to him for it. :)

guys and gals(angela) the new tank is herewill post up some not so good looking picw tomorrow after work:mad2: . this thing needs a lot of cleaning and i mean alot but it was worth the money and the drive.

brandon...... the frags are here too and they look great i could never get sps to color up or show any polyp extension these were open in 15 mins. Can't wait to show off my blue tidalzone palys.
 
Oh, and BTW, put me first in line for some of those blue palys once they grow to a fraggable size! :D

Most good deal will require some elbow grease! Get a gallon of vinegar and a spray bottle for the things you can not soak and it shouldn't be to hard! FWIW I called marineland about some scratches and they told me to polish the glass with vinegar and it really seemd to make the glass sparkle and the fine scratches not so noticable!

Thanks brandon.....I also have my skimmer....An E.T.S.S downdraft rated for up to 300g. the best part I JUST WON IT OFF EBAY FOR 82 BUCKS SHIPPED. now I gotta find a pump for it.

Those look awesome! I'm assuming its the ETSS 600. Iwaki 40 or 55 RLT-Max, Blue Line 40 or 55 HD or similar is apparently what they recommend.

well...the cleaing has begun. Tank is cleaned and getting ready to paint the back black as soon as the little women gets back with my reef list from the store. paint,vinegar and tape. the tank cleaned up really good will post pics as soon as I paint it and bring it back in the house.

p.s....the little women is starting to come around on this hobby she has feel in love with rics and yumas. she had me contact a guy who sells them on another board and ordered 12 of them.

maybe I can get her addicted like me...LOL.she says they remind her of anenomes. If the tank does well for a while I may get her a rose anenome. my SPS tank is turning into a mixed reef....oh well at least she can't blame all the money spending on me...lol :D

That could be a VERY scary prospect.

Can't wait to see how it turns out, I'm currently building a 90. It's actually up and running, just the display is 100% empty. Have to order rock, get my skimmer and plumb it in (getting this on friday), and then get the closed loop setup.

update

tank cleaned back has been painted black and the new to me E.T.S.S skimmer arrived today. Now I need to find a pump for it.

will be hanging lights and checking them to see if I need to switch out any bulbs and to check for color
 
my feelings are gonna get hurt....:D no one as anything to say about my hard day of cleaning and getting this thing up and running and I even posted pics for ya too :p
