I Have Blood Shrimp. Is It Safe To Add Cleaner,Peppermint,etc...

just wondering if it safe to add any other shrimp with my blood shrimp if its ok which ones would be good or bad. Obviously not a mantis lol. What about a pistol shrimp? I have a 180g tank.

I have combined many shrimp with success. Blood, Cleaner, Peppermint, Coral Banded and Tiger Pistol, all in one 90 gallon reef tank. No deaths, and the tank is 1 year old.

thanks alot. even though every tank will be different, u just never know! In this hobby some of the weirdest things happen. Hopefully Im as lucky as you are with the shrimp. I really enjoy the blood shrimp,they are very active! My Lyretail Anthias will sit in a hole in the rock and wait for one to come clean her.

I currently have 5 blood and 2 cleaners which should clean fish, and not once have I ever seen them clean anything! They sure do love pellets and flakes though.

I have a blood red and the first time I tried to add a skunk cleaner it lasted a couple days then the blood red snuck up on him and killed him. I saw it happen, he was quite a bit smaller though. I added another one, but this time I got a large cleaner and the blood red acts like he thinking about taking him, but he wouldn't win that one.

same here I added 2 cleaner's and 1 blood with no prob's in a 90G other then having to take a cleaner out because the combination of the 3 took too much time fighting back when it was feeding time for my dendro's and duncun's
