I hope everyones OK

posted this on the other board too

Worst of it cut just to the west of us. Could see the main "core" of the storm they were watching for rotation and was pretty scary looking. Had some brief outages here and have to say that I'm not comforted. While my aquacontroller did power my lights back on, it didn't power any of my pumps back on. Not sure what I did wrong in programming. Glad I was here to manually turn them back on.

We lost power somewhere between 7:00 and 7:30. I ran back out around 8:00 and picked up a battery powered pump.

Of course the power came back on about 15 minutes after I got the pump installed. I really figured with as nasty as it got here that we would be without for much longer.

I hope everyone else is doing ok.

Our power just flickered here in St. Peters.

My son is at Scout camp this week though and we have not heard from them yet. Anyone know if the S Bar F Ranch got hit in Knob Lick, MO?

Hobbs and bepeams are out of power. My lights went off for a few seconds but all is well. ( I love it in ofallon )

Here in south city power has been off since 7:30... (10:10 now) ue doesn't know the cause nor when it will be fixed (I know the cause the transformer in our aley is blown - huge burbn mark on it)
Unfortunatly I don't have a battery back backup or anything... (Using fon internet to post)
How long should tank be good for?
I did some manual stiring in some air befor I left the house 10 min ago...

*sigh*

We're out. I have a power inverter running from the truck for the main pump and the cable modem. We also have a spot light on us.

Need any help roy? (or anyone else?)

Just got into work here at 4:30 a.m. Large chunks of the area are still without power, as was easily seen from the highway coming in while it's still dark. Coming in from IL 55/70, the power was out starting at around hwy 111 up through most of E. STL. Then on the MO side, I could see a very large area south of I-44 completely dark. Lots of tree and structural damage in the Grand/I-44 area where I exit off at. Hope everybody does ok. :(

I have an 75g tank (just water) with no corals, rock or fish if anyone needs to bring stuff over. It has metal halides over it. 314-779-7408

So far so good... Still no electricity, but power inter on my prius is holding up. No obvois dead fish but I think I am missing a cardinal.

Hopefully the girlfriend will wakeup soon and bring some ice over

What do those power converters that go from your car to your house cost? I've got a birthday coming up, maybe one of those would be a good gift I could tell my wife to get me. :)

I drove home in the storm last nigt, saw a couple of big rigs blowing around quite a bit, scary, yes.

We lost power off and on, the schnucks i get my lettuce for lunch from every morning wasn't at full power. And they had no lettuce. GRRRR. The wind was nasty, hope your wife was ok at the game joe I heard some people got hurt there last night. I wish I was at S Bar F instead of work.

We were out of power but only for 3-4 hours so the tank looks ok now. It does make me realize that I need some kind of power source for the future though! And to make things worse, I got caught in the storm leaving work on my motorcycle! that makes for a long ride home.

I wouldn't worry too bad about S - F scout's, If memory serves, back when I was a scout and camping down there, they would call parents if there were any problems. I seem to recall one time when one of the adults had to hop in a car and find a pay phone, but they still call for problems.

I got my power invertor for about 35$ at radio shack

hmmmm... :)

How much can it run? Will it run all pumps and lights or is that too much for it?
