Man! I'm so excited right now. I just made a quick run to my LFS, i just had to get some top-off water. i didnt expect to buy anything but i decided to check out their invert tanks. so i went and saw there was a mantis (which is odd because they RARELY carry them) So i asked them to turn on the lights. It was a coloration i recognized, but couldnt put my finger on. nice green, thin red/orange stripes on segments, dark smashers with red, thought it might be a turnatensis, but then it flared its arms at me. what do i see, Dark purple spots with a stark white ring! I thought i was going jump out of my skin. Of course they had it labeled as a peacock mantis, they always do....thats ok...i knew better!
