I just couldn't wait!!! (New Zoas!!)

I had planned on waiting until I set up my nano this fall to purchase new zoas. Well, god910 and I went to Premium Aquatics yesterday and I just couldn't resist. Looking at Zoaid.com I realized that we picked up som Solars. There looks to be two morphs of the Solars on the same rock. The same rock also contained a few more Dragon's Eyes polyps and a greeny/orangy/brown polyp. The other rock had pale green and blue zoas on it. Here are the pics of my new kids:.

The Solars are in the middle, but you can see the two other poplys directly below them. The ones are a paler orange with the brown rings and the others have the light blue mouths. Here's anothe pic of the zoas under the Solars:

If anyone could help with an ID on these I would appreciate it. Here is the green and blue rock with Skeeter checking them out:

Thanks guys!!

Rubysmomma1, not every zoa has been given a nickname :)

If you are going by the ZoaID names, and you don't see your zoa there, you can pick your own cool name and send it in with pics. Then we'll all use the name you picked :)

It's not really supposed to be anything official. And mainly is for fun and convenience... hopefully, anyway :)

Watch that yellow sponge on the orange skirt ones. I got a yellow sponge just like that on a zoa colony and it tried to take over my tank.

Thanks for the heads up. I was wondering if I should move all my zoas from that rock and let him grow, but we've had a pulsating Xenia issue. So I don't want anything else taking over the tank.

I would seriously recomend scrubbing that sponge off, when you take the zoos out of water for any length of time that sponge is gonna die and it is very possible it will take the zoos with it...

If the zoa is not hot, with bright colors to help in distinguishing the zoa from any other than it will most likely never have a true name.
To many little cheap zoas look like that.

They may be cheap, but I like them anyways! :) Since noone will ever give them a definitive name I guess I can call them what I please, right?

From that picture you should almost call it scooter greens

Skeeter, the Scooter Blenny, has loved those new rocks since we brought them home. I'm guessing there were some great pods in there because he just won't leave the new rocks alone.
