I just ordered a 3g :( darn impulse buys!

I was thinking of setting up a desk aquarium for my husband for his birthday- he works from home at the computer all day so it might be neat!

What would be cool to put in this? I know he loved our emerald crab before it started eating our corals.. maybe a pico-species specific for crabs?

i would jam it with zoos and shrooms and rics. it would be very sweet. he probably wouldn't get much work done staring at the tank.

I just got a pom pom crab which would be great for that size tank. You could also do a coral banded shrimp, cleaner shrimp, sexy shrimp, harlequin shrimp (You have to feed these guys live starfish though), arrow crab, porcelin crab. There's a ton of options!

Hmmm I like the idea of the pom pom crab- he loves weird stuff like that!!! He wants one that puts junk on itself but I dont know if it'd be good for a little tank like that.

No lid and I think arrow crabs get too big.. The pom pom actually is a great idea- would its little anemones sting any softies i crammed in there?

Pom pom crab, bicolor blenny(look funny and eating the algae), zoos/rics(easy to maitain and beautiful) and red starfish.

That would be a decorator, they eat shrooms tho, but they are a riot, to watch as they go herky jerky everywhere.

Hmm, yeh I say clown goby Pom Pom crab, decorator, some zoos, the decorators frog your zoos for you! It doesnt harm the zoo either.

I have a nano right beside my computer monitor where I do most of my work... it's trouble! ....but I would never trade it away.

I have a 12g nano with a bicolor blenny and a midas in my 55- they are the awesomest fish but somethign like a little rusty goby or a clown goby would be perfect

Thanks for the ideas guys! My LFS says I can bring in the tank and keep it there to set it up with some cured stuff and hope it cycles in time to load it up with some cute stuff and bring it home on V day. This is going to be cool

try and find a piece of LR shaped like a heart and cover it in pink Ric's................ that would be the best reef nerd Vday in my opinion.

emerald crabs eat corals?????????.... my wife will not be happy if i have to take him out of there

they are very hit and miss. be careful and watch closely. m ine was munching a toadstool i had in the middle of the night.

anyone have experienc with Azoo tanks? it has a little filter i wanna make into a biological one
