I like Clams , but ?

I like clams , and I am thinking about adding one to my tank . I know if you have certain things in your tank , adding a clam is not a good idea .

Does anyone know if a flame Hawk fish will bother a clam ?

also how do you treat a clam , to make sure you don't introduce any pests into your tank ? Is quarantine the only thing you can do ?

I wish I had some answers for you. I'd love to get a clam too but I know enough to know that I don't know enough to keep one and I certainly don't want to kill it.

Clams are not that hard to keep , as long as you don't have any clam predators in your tank . I want to make sure none of the fish I have will eat , or pick on a clam .

Well I picked up a Derasa yesterday , and it looks good so far . I checked on the Clam Forum about the Flame Hawk Fish . All the replies I got stated the Flame Hawk Fish should be just fine . Nothing in the tank even looks at the clam , so I am keeping my fingers crossed .

I haven't got around to taking any pics yet . I am giving it lots of light . You don't need to spot feed a clam .

Mine is fed whenever I scrub the alage off the glass. Othe than moving him when he gets to close to the glass thats all I do.
