I lost a flame Angel... What got him

Here is what I have in my tank now. Any ideas?

10 Nassarius Snails
10 Astraea Snails
3 Queen Conch
20 Dwarf Blue Leg Hermit Crabs
12 Scarlet Reef Hermit Crabs
1 Peppermint Shrimps
2 Emerald Mythrax Crabs
1 Fire Shrimp
1 Perc Clown
1 Seabae Anemone


The fish was dead underneath the Anemone. I quickly got him out of the tank as soon as I saw he was dead. He has had a couple of bad spots on him lately. I thought it was him being to daring swimming in between rocks.

Any ideas??

what are you water parms? hard to say was he eating before you found him? how long did you have him?, lookes like from you tank mates nothing could be harrasing him, i would say some type of "bug" got the best of him

Before he went missing did he have any white spots on him?

I had him for about a month. He ate the last night just fine. He had a couple of gashes on him and they were white but I didn't think they were ick cause of they looked like gashes. He had 2 of them. Both on the same side. The one on the bottom looked like he was cut. The other one looked like there was a hole in him that was scrapped off. The one of the bottom of him was getting better and the one on top got worse. I saw it last night and it didnt look very good.

secondary infection perhaps. You should get a QT tank for next time, and whe ya see something weird take him out. He may have died from being stressed and wounded
