I love this weather, BUT...

Haha i just mounted my AC in my hot as hell 2nd floor apt. tank was 83.4. Good thing the House i am moving into this month has central air.

Heh. I swore I wasn't going to turn the central a/c on until it got hotter out but... might as well test it out after a long cold winter right?! :D

ugh.... not a fan of heat here. Just makes me tired! I closed up the bottom floor of the house and the tank is only at 80 right now - but I'm going to be watching it!!

Window AC might be going in tomorrow. Tank was pretty warm this past week. I noticed euphyllia seem to open HUGE when the water is a tad bit warmer. But everything else was not happy one bit.

Got my chiller Friday and it is working fantastically.

Brandon- What does your basement usually run at? If it stays cool just blow a fan over the sump system. Your evaporation might be more but the water will run cooler. Also make sure your fans are running up to par. Darn dust slowed my old ones down.

Yep, turned it on but only set it to come down to 75. I love the heat and every winter vow to never complain about it ever again. :D

My tank hit 88 degrees today despite fans over the sump and top, and my house feels like a mouth. I don't think I'm on the market for an AC unit and I don't even know how awesome I'd feel about putting one in a first floor window anyway. But it sure was nice to be outside today!

Wipe down your fan with a dryer sheet.

That's a good suggestion! Unfortunately I don't have my old system anymore but that will be perfect for others!! I never thought of that.

Dan-That's what the forecasters say. How the fronts are moving and we have a High settled over us slowly moving NE that should be the scenario. Thursday a cold from is supposed to push through which I predict will be mid afternoon and cool it down for the weekend. To lower 70's and even upper 60's.

I'm glad I finally installed my Apex... it shut down my lights after the tank reached 83.5°, and that's with the AC on! :spin2:

Hamilton tech light fixture with push/pull fans, no in tank heater and central air... tank stays steady @ 76-78 degrees all the time.

AC been on in the bedroom with the 90g for a couple weeks. LR 120g with sump in basement holding at 78.4 degrees.

Ac for the day and window fans blowing cool air in at night. Trying to keep the power consumption down as much as I can.

Brandon, you are welcome to come over to have a nice cold beeer in my nice cool house while your tank overheats

My luck and curse is that my tank is in the lowest room and coolest room of the house, with the sump in the basement. Therefore the winters kill me on electric running the heater, in fact my heater still is kicking on and off despite the outside temp. I closed the AC vent neat the tank as I am afraid when its on it will cool the tank too much and causer the heaters to stay on.
