i made a mistake, how to correct? choc chip star has almost wiped out all of my CUC !

90G fowlr - 110 lbs of LR and 80 of LS - tank up and running 5 weeks
i have 2 clowns, a Kole tang , and a Coral Beauty - a choc chip starfish
- on Saturday I added 10 hermits and about 50 assorted snails, they were the last additions

is there a CUC that will be safe from a CC star?

Get rid of the starfish is the easiest solution.

Harlequin shrimp. It will be safe from the star.

Just kidding. A harlequin eats stars for a living. If you get one, you will need to keep it fed with starfish. But they are beautiful and interesting.

Definitely get rid of the starfish. I had the same problem. No single animal is worth keeping if it prevents you from getting other cool stuff. There are many really nice but much safer starfish to choose from.

Put the starfish in the sump.

put it in the DUMP kill it with harsh pesticides then douse it in car coolant and the plague

Take the starfish back, the LFS should have told u it was predatory when u bought it, there are plenty of really nice reef safe stars you could add
