I made a thing! (Water Mixing Station)

I'm getting tired of lugging buckets to mix up water, So I built an over/under mixing station.

Top 55G drum = RO/DI
Bottom = Saltwater

there are valves to feed the pump from either salt or RO/DI barrels, and pump it either out to a hose (not pictured) or into the saltwater barrel to fill/mix it. Additionally, there is a drain at the bottom to drain one or both barrels without the pump, if needed.

There are unions so I can remove the pump or either barrel. and a Ball valve as well as a float valve on the RO/DI line.

I am looking for a few PVC/garden hose adapters to finish it up, and then put it in place of my current RO/DI holding barrel.

Plumbing Detail, the two tees with open sides are where valves and hose adapters need to go. Top right is pump output, bottom is "just in case" drain:

It is very similar to many builds I saw, and I figured "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Hard to tell from the pics, but it almost looks like your top tanks pvc output goes to the input of the mag drive then to the bottom tank?

While the bottom barrels drain at the bottom is just a drain going to nothing?

I would assume youd want the input to the mag drive be from the drain on the bottom tank to recirculate the bottom tanks water to mox the salt. While the top tank houses rodi and gravity fills the bottom barrel.

There is a tee and elbow hiding behind the cross brace in the left.

The bottom pipe from each tank goes through a valve then to that tee. The third leg of that tee goes to the input of the pump.
The output of the pump is teed to either pump into the bottom barrel or pump out.

I found 1" slip to make garden hose adapters in amazon last night, so the two "open" tees you see will each get a valve and one of those.

Could've given you a stand. We have one sitting outside right now if anyone wants it. Built for this same purpose.

Thanks. The stand was the cheap part of this project, but maybe someone else will be motivated and will take or.

I am contemplating moving the angles brace in that side up some, as if sits or makes a tight fit with the plumbing off the bottom barrel.

Our 40B has started leaking near the top rim, so it's being replaced.
