Whooo Hoooo,, After more than a week of waiting for Charter to fix my internet, then them accidently taking me totally off line, tv too. I'm BACK!!!! And I got news.
The new land lord said I could set up the 180. Well he actually said,
" I've been talking to some poeple, and they tell me that a six foot tank is better than a four foot. Espeacially when you get up to the bigger tanks. So if you want to set it up go ahead. If I find something else out that well change the situation I will let you know."
So the race is on to get this tank up and running before he changes his mind. So any help I could get would be greatly apreaciated, since I've have never plumbed a tank before. I'm sure Chad and Steve would also apreacialt me not haveing to go over there to ask them questions alll the time. :rolleye1:
I've got alot of the stuff done, just need to get a couple of other things ready, then put it all together on the tank.
By the way. does anyone have two single 250 ballest. I got a duo from chad last week. But there is not enough room between the stand and the wall, It is too heavy to put on the wall. The only place I could put it is in the stand. I'm not sure about all the moisture in there.
I'm so glad to be back on line. (Now I can pester more than two people at once)

That is good news. I am glad he checked, as I told you my floor deflects less with the 125 than it did with the 75. Time to get that tank filled.

Working on it. In fact Steve and I are in a race to see who gets theirs filled first. He knows what he's doing, But I actually have the tank. So we are even.
I got the lights, 3 of Chads 250MHs, and the ballasts, so that is done.
Orders the skimmer, ASM G4 plus, should do the job. that should be here this weekend.
The sump I had planned, probly wont fit the skimmer, so turning one of my 75's into the sump. Today ordered the glass for the baffles. so that is done.
I made my stand pipes, All by myself, I am so proud of myself, so that is done.
Will probly go with the reg hose type drains, can't find the pvc fitting to fit my bulkhead. Up side to that - it will be easier for me to do it. Down side - no shut off valves. Unless one of you pro's have an easy, suggestion.
This weekend I hope to get the stuff from the one 75 gal moved over the the other 75, and get everything else in totes. Clean out the tank. put the baffles in. Get everything else put together . and fill it before Tuesday. :hmm3:
Can always use extra hands, especially hand that know what they are doing.
:bounce2: :bounce1: :bounce3: :bounce1: :bounce2:

WISH ME LUCK

i have answered some of your questions too :(

dont take steve or chad too seriously. i am the real brains behind the maddness up there.

:D

Well, I guess I could have but that would be kinda dumb, and she probably wouldn't know what I was talking about. I'd have to explain it to her and the comment wasn't really that important in the first place (not worth starting a conversation about)....besides, I was at my house and she was either at hers or at work.

Well it took till 7 this morning, but I finally got every thing out of the 75. Fish transfered to the other 75, Live rock in tote with power heads, Well the sand, that stuff was so nasty, I can't belive anything lived in that. Now I realize that, part of that was my bio. But this stuff was black. Just like a tire. BLACK So I wasn't so sure that would be good. So I wash down all of the sand. Figure best to start that over. Plus the rock is still good. It will just take a little longer.
By the way, when I took all the rock out, and took the fish out. I have one that is MIA. My fire goby is nowhere to be found, I know they are jumpers. But this little guy is very shy. It's stays in the rock all day. Darts out real quick at feeding time and back in the rock till tomorrow. So I figure it is in one of the rocks. Question, will it be ok in there with just a powerhead? I tried to find it, shook all the rocks and what not. no good.
Right now the 75 is sitting with some vinagar in it, I will clean it in a little bit.
Question #2, When I go to put the baffles in, How would I silacone the inside. What I mean is when the baffle are an inch or two apart, there is noway to get your hand between them, and the nozzle on the sealant tube isn't that long. So how do you get the silacone between the two pieces of glass. or do we just put silacone on one side of the glass? If that is the case which side. The side with the flow or against. I thing against but want to make sure.
