What is the 80/20 package

Bill.
80/20 is a brand of extruded T-slot aluminum. You can use it to build just about anything structurally. It's cool stuff. This is what I have so far for my lights.

Only thing missing here is the $$$... how much did that particular set cost?

The lights or 80/20?

80/20 can be found via Amazon and eBay. Search for the size you need.

For the frame where my lights are mounted to, that's 1" for the hanger part I'm using 2"x2" and 1"x2".

80\20 isnt cheap. ...and dont make the mistake of calling them direct for a quote the lady i spoke to must have called me back tring to sell it to me 15 times till i had to just block her mumber lol.....nice stuff though

It's not the cheapest option depending on your project, but if you check eBay and Amazon for the pieces you need it may not be that bad. The bigger sized stuff is more $.

I had the opposite experience with their customer service. I communicated with them several times a day via email over my planned purchase on Amazon.

I had a question reading the load or weight bearing of the pieces and brackets I was looking at. They patched me thru to someone who answered all my questions and saved me $ by suggesting a smaller diameter tube that still suited my needs.

The shipping ,brackets and fasteners can add up. But you can look for alternative fasteners and such. With what most of us would do with it, it can be overkill.

If you search 80/20 or 8020 on RC. You'll see some nice "fixtures" and even a stand or two made with it.

The 80/20 product is a great one. Sound and Strong enough to even hold large tanks (with the proper bracing that can also be supplied from the company). If you download their program, you can design and setup variables to find information about support strength, deflection, etc, and recommended build setup.

I first found out about this product searching the web. I was looking to hang a 40lb fixture. Using their program, I found that I would only need 1" tubing and brackets. This is some strong stuff
