Ok, so I picked up some reflectors for my light. It's gonna be DIYretrofit. Wondering if I should glue as well as screw, since I can't screw in too many spots (scared to hit a hidden wire). If I used silicone would it melt with the heat? Any other suggestions? I don't want anything with fumes right.

Feel like a newbie with this tank all of a sudden!!!!

Silicone is not heat-rated and would definitely burn if you're going to go with metal halides.

http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/RED-DEVIL-Sealant-4CRG1you could use fire rated silicon. Rona and Home Depot carry similar kinds.

Awesome thanks!! I will try and get more pictures later today. I have all the pieces cut and ready to go. I think I'll wait till I get the hood all sanded and painted before I install the reflectors. I wish I could get the tank in here. But I have a lot of work and plannong to keep me busy.
