I need a clever water management system

if you take a look at where the float ball is attached to... you will see a drain pipe. any excess water will go into that tube. hence your toilet tank will never overflow and out into the bathroom.

you can try and hold down the float ball valve... even when the tank is full... you will then see where the excess water is going...

if you dont see a clean out... it doesnt mean there isnt one... most likely its behind the wall.

the builders covered my clean out with drywall... i got lucky and found it after almost making a hole to my neighbors garage to use her clean out drain. lol.

but you can also run everything to the toilet. makes it easier for you.

You can pump as much water as you want into the tank on the back of the toilet. There is a safety standpipe for overflows. As long as the flapper isn't open, it isn't flushing, it's just going down the drain. It is not a problem to run the waste water into the back tank.

By the way, a small silicone lip around on the underside of the tank lid to elevate it just enough for an RO tube is pure genius.

I don't go vertical, but I run my waste line over 50 feet to the backyard without any problems. I suspect you'll be ok, but I've never gone up then back down.

Technically, there's no problem with this - just realize you are adding some extra restriction to the waste water exiting the system - if you are still near a 4:1 with your waste to permeate ratio, you're good to go.

thx all, had a plumber come over to give me some options and I think we're simple going to go with RO/DI waste water & waster seawater into the toilet tank, nice and simple. I'll find a way to hide the tubing to make my wife happy as well ...
