I need a little help

I just added a maroon gold stripe clown(about 2")and a bta(4" to 5" two days ago. The clown went straight to the bta that was great but over the two days the clown has started beating and stressing the bta. I moved the clown last night and the bta looks better, but is there anything I can do to keep the clown from beating up the bta?

1.How long should I keep them apart?

2.Can I add another bta so the clown will not stress one all the time?

3.Would it be a bad idea to put the clown back in with the bta?

I dont post much because I can find the answers by looking through the old post, but in this situation I could use some help.

if you can get like a basket or something to cover the anemone i woud do that or section it off for a while to limit the maroons access. let the anemone adjust a little more maybe even grow a little bigger as maroons can be very brutal.

You've got to keep the tomato away from the nem until it's completely settled. A good rule of thumb I've seen typed around here is that your nem needs to be settled and at least twice as wide as your clown is long in order to host a tomato and have a chance of surviving.
I'd reccomend sending the clown back to wherever you got it and letting your bta settle in and get acclimated and healthy before putting a clown in to host it.

I ordered both from liveaquaria.com. I picked a med clown that was listed from 1 1/4" to 2" and the bta was in the 3" to 5" size now I wish I would have ordered the small clown.I have ordered coral from them but this was the first fish. I am very happy with the order and everything I have ordered over the past few years.

Today the bta looks a lot better. It is eating and loving the MH.The clown will stay in time out for a few weeks for now.

Can I add more than one bta?

I have found in my experience that the maroons are very tough on all anenomes.I have my gold stripe with a large bta and she loved it but ended up getting rid of the bta because she was too rough on it.My lfs said most maroons love em but are to tough on them.Hope it helps alittle good luck scott
