That's funny I was wondering about why they wouldn't be taking orders. Thought maybe they where working on the site. But if it makes the gods happy for me to order in five hours I can live with that
If I'm looking at the right lens???The 50mm f/1.8 is only $89.95 at B&H. Why do you say this is "the best bang for the buck in canon's lineup" ? If I'm looking at the right lens maybe I should pick up one of these as well.
It feels like a toy and is made out of legos, but it does it's job well. You can't find that kind of performance at that price with any other manufacturer I know of. Then again I have the 50mm f/1.4 $300 version because, well, the f/1.8 feels like its going to fall apart in my hands. It sure does a good job though!
Good to know. I'll make that my next lens. Maybe after a paycheck or two. I just got a new Euro Reef rs 135 skimmer. So I need to give my bank account a rest. I'm starting to think reef keeping is a gateway hobby (DRUG) to photography.
Please let me know how you like the Canon 100m macro Reefun. I am considering taking the plunge from a point and shoot to a Canon T1i with the lense you just purchased. It's hard to convince the wife it's worth the money though.
Thanks for the help picking out my new lens I am really happy with it. This is one of the pics with the new lens. I didn’t edit it or enhance it in any way other than adding a border and resizing it. Otherwise it would have been a little big. Let me know what you think
Honestly, I would love to see the first shot done with your old lense and the same settings to compare. Was your old lense the 18-55 mm that comes standard with the Canon XSi?
Yes lens it came with
I will take the pic again tomorrow with the same settings and the old lens 18-55mm
But I cant really get the exact same shot because the other lens doesn't zoom in that close. But I will get as close as I can
Yeah no film costs are nice. You've already save thousands of dollars in film if you want to look at it that way. I'm glad you are happy with our suggestion and wish you many years of happy shooting with the 100mm f/2.8 Macro!
