I feel like I have seen this used before in a closed loop system. The idea here is that a main pump (thinking about a Dart) would supply this device via a fitting off the bottom of it. So a 3/4 or 1" vinal tubing would fit it. Then the water would be distributed between your choice of 3, 4, or 5 outlets (depending on the model). These outlets would then be connected to bulkheads in your tank predetermined by you.

Here is a quick picture that I drew of it. Does anyone know what this is?

Puter, that did help. Thank you. And I figured out what I was initially refering to. It's the Ocean's Motion 4 and 8 way wavemaker. I think that your way is cheaper!
